Can 6mm Work In Z Scale?

This week's Coffee Break features TimeCast, a company in England that produces acrylic polymer Z scale buildings as well as an extensive number of historically accurate structures in 6mm... more accurately 1:260 on average.

From some of the 6mm / Z scale comparison photos on their site, many of these 6mm structures might be right at home in your next Z scene. As they say on their site... the difference between their 6mm structures and Z scale is absolutely minimal. Take a little time on their website to see what might work for you.
Visit TimeCast.

I've received several inquiries regarding the resin snow shed (pictured at the top of this page) and when it will be available for purchase in the Ztrains Store. This piece was designed for a diorama project that is just about complete and I wanted the client to be the first to receive his shed / diorama. The snow shed will be available within a few weeks. Also... look for this shed in the new issue of both Ztrack Magazine as well as the Model Railroad News!

Coffee Break

TimeCast, Historic Miniatures

TimeCast of Shrewsbury, England produces a series of dedicated Z scale, as well as many 6mm, historically accurate European and North American structures that are reasonably priced... and very good.

The thumbnail photo above is actually one of their 6mm scenes with a Marklin box car in the photo for reference. Looks good from here!.

From the Napoleonic era to the fields of Gettysburg to WWII era Germany... TimeCast covers quite a lot of ground.
